In the absence of a new album, Goodwills’ songwriter Bob Wilson continues to write new material and adding it to our Bandcamp collection whenever possible.
The latest song, “Bonsai,” is a memory from the early days of Covid. Bob wrote this in 2020 and parked it, thinking it too raw for the times. Bob recently recorded a demo at home and sent it to Ian Dearden, who produced it at Corner Nook Studios. Click on the link above to listen.
There is another of Bob’s story songs lurking on his Soundcloud page. In due course it will make its debut on Bandcamp. The Derribong Valley Drive-In is a commentary on the days when drive-in theatres were popular – for so many reasons.
Now mostly swallowed up by housing subdivisions and retirement villages, the halcyon days of the drive-in are remembered here.
These two songs are the result of a long-time friend, Ian Dearden, exercising his mixing and mastering skills.

Hi Bob. Love the song. Well done. Nice work by Ian….I met him recently through Fred Smith. He is a good man and I enjoy his music too. All the best. Rob Mackay
Yes we work well as a team. I am finding nothing quite succeeds like editing/rewriting
